Mindful Play — Where learning meets nurturing

Mindful Play is a children's learning and parenting support app. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
We collect minimal information to make the app work:
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, payment information, or any account information. There are no user accounts in Mindful Play.
👶 Your child's name personalises their stories right on your device — it is never sent to our AI provider or any third party.
All information — including your child's age group and first name (if entered) — is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers, because we have no servers. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted.
Mindful Play uses the Claude API by Anthropic to generate stories, activities, flashcards, and parenting advice. When you request AI-generated content, only your child's age group and general content preferences are sent to Anthropic's servers — never your child's name or any other identifying information.
If your child's name is used to personalise a story, that personalisation happens entirely on your device after the AI response is received. The name itself is never included in the prompt sent to Anthropic.
We do not store these prompts or responses after they are displayed to you. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their processing of this data and can be read at anthropic.com/privacy.
We take children's privacy seriously and comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above (age group and, optionally, first name — both stored only on your device and never transmitted off it). This information is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used for any purpose other than personalising your child's experience within the app.
We use no advertising networks, analytics platforms, or tracking tools of any kind. The only third-party service used is the Claude API by Anthropic, used solely for generating in-app content. Only age group and content preferences are ever sent to this service — no personal or identifying information.
To delete all data associated with Mindful Play, simply uninstall the app from your device. All locally stored information — including your child's name and age group — is removed automatically. There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
