Privacy Policy — Mindful Play

🔒 The short version: Parents create an account. Some preferences stay on your device; account-linked learning data is stored securely in the cloud so progress can sync. Optional Family Plan is billed by Apple. We don’t show ads or sell children’s data. You can delete your account in Settings.

Overview

Mindful Play is a children’s learning and parenting support app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices — including how to delete your account.

Mindful Play is designed for use by parents and caregivers. Child profiles are created and managed under a parent or guardian account.

Information We Collect

Account information (parent / caregiver)

Email address and authentication details when you create or sign in to an account (including via Apple or Google sign-in, if you choose those options)
A unique account identifier used to secure your data

Child profile information

Display name / username, avatar, and age range you choose for each child profile
Learning activity records associated with a child profile (for example, completed challenges or quiz scores), when you are signed in
Saved favourite stories (premium feature), stored so your family can re-read them later

Usage and subscription information

Daily AI feature usage counts used to enforce free and Family Plan limits
Subscription status for the optional Family Plan (for example, active or expired), synced from Apple via our subscription provider

Information stored on your device

Preferences such as selected age group, onboarding status, local streaks or helpers, and which child profile is currently active
Some guest / offline-style usage counters that help the app work before or without an account

Diagnostics

Crash and error reports (for example, app version, device type, and technical error details) so we can keep the app stable. We use these for reliability, not advertising.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks to track children or families across apps.

👶 For stories, we design personalisation so a child’s name can be applied on your device (and saved favourites may use placeholders). We aim not to send a child’s real name to our AI provider for story generation. Other features may use the age range and the preferences or questions you enter.
